About FHS
The Falmouth Historical Society is one of 145 town historical societies in Maine which, along with the flagship Maine Historical Society, preserve artifacts and documents related to Maine's history to inform present and future generations of our state's heritage.
Since 1966, our job has been:
Our focus includes present day Falmouth as well as Ancient Falmouth which, prior to 1765, encompassed today's towns of Falmouth and Cape Elizabeth as well as the cities of Portland, South Portland and Westbrook.
For more information about what your town's historical society is doing, records of our activities are posted online.
Our general and special meetings of the membership offer a good overview of the Society's activities.
